The Department of Functional Support within the social services offers support and services to both adults and children / young people. Here we work to create an inclusive and safe society.

The current position is responsible for our two group homes in social psychiatry, Malmbacken and Strandvillan. The operations offer housing with special services for people who need extensive support in everyday life. The housing staff work together with the residents to create security, participation and conditions for as independent a life as possible based on each individual's needs and abilities. The work is based on ESL pedagogy (An independent life), with a focus on strengthening social skills, structure in everyday life and the individual's own development.

You are directly subordinate to the head of department and your physical workplace is at Vändpunkten together with your other unit manager colleagues.

Duties

As a unit manager, you have a key role in our organization. The work means that you have operational, financial, personnel and work environment responsibility based on budget frameworks and delegation. You are responsible for day-to-day operations and work towards clear goals set by the social welfare committee. Planning, management and follow-up take place according to current directives and guidelines to ensure quality and results.

You will be part of the department's management team and work closely with other managers and employees to create successful solutions. With the support of experienced educators, administrators and cross-community functions, you will be given the best conditions to succeed. You lead and develop the business to achieve high quality and work from a user focus.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant college or university education with experience of leadership or work management, preferably in social psychiatry, mental illness or similar activities. Or other experience that the employer deems suitable for the assignment.

We expect you to have good computer skills, as we use various digital business systems, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written. Within the framework of the National Minority Languages Act, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. Knowledge of one of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Arbetstid/Varaktighet

We offer a full-time, permanent position with a flextime agreement. Probationary period may apply.
