Business description

Department for disability is an area within social services that provides support and service to adults and children/young people. Within the department there are seven different areas with operations and efforts within LSS and social support/social psychiatry.

Job duties

As head of unit, you are responsible for the operational activities according to the goals the social welfare committee has established for the activities. You work based on common policy programs, guidelines, laws and regulations as well as overall strategic plans. You are part of the department's management team and are directly subordinate to the head of department. In collaboration with the management team, you are responsible for your own operations, work environment, staff and budget, as well as working with set goals. You must lead, coordinate, develop the business, follow up and evaluate the work in your area. You have support in your assignment from educators and supervisors as well as municipality-wide functions such as the personnel department and finance department, etc.

Qualifications

You have a university or college education that is suitable for the assignment and it is advantageous that you have leadership experience within LSS and/or social services, or other experience that the employer deems appropriate for the assignment.
