The position is located within the Technical Department of the Public Works and Engineering Administration.

The Technical Department's mission is to provide residents with a good service for the operation and maintenance of streets, pedestrian and cycle paths, street lighting, fiber networks, water / sewage and waste.

Duties

As a vehicle driver in the street unit, you are part of a team that works with the operation and maintenance of streets, pedestrian and bicycle paths throughout the year. During the winter period, the focus is on snow removal, sanding, snow removal and drum thawing, and during the bare ground period we work with road signage, work with impact chopper, maintenance of paved road surfaces and gravel roads. The service includes on-call and shift work during the winter season, and during the summer season the working hours are during the day. Our machinery includes vehicles such as wheel loaders, trucks and graders.

Qualifications

You have relevant education and experience for the assignment. Driving license with C-authorization and YKB is a requirement. It is important that you have practical experience as a vehicle driver and we would like you to have experience of working with different types of vehicles.

As a person, you are quality conscious, have the ability to take a holistic approach and think it is self-evident with good customer relations. You can work independently and also work well in a group.
