Description of the workplace:

We are looking for you who focus on good food care for the elderly and who want to spread the joy of food. The kitchen at Haugtun Care Center delivers all meals to patients and residents at the care center, about 80 p in addition to café operations at the center. The kitchen has 2.3 full-time equivalents. The kitchen is organized in the catering service area, which serves around 300 people living at home with dinner and around 200 patients and residents at the care centers with all meals. The service consists of a shared kitchen with centralized dinner production, a shared laundry that washes all laundry for institutions and 6 kitchens at the care centers and the City Hall Café. The service aims to work actively for good nutritional care for our users.

Duties:

The supervisor at Haugtun kitchen is responsible for daily operations, i.e. preparation of meals and café dishes, production planning, purchasing and simpler administrative tasks. The supervisor has a special responsibility for a good working environment through good organization, good communication, training and guidance. The work must be carried out in such a way that the kitchen operation is sustainable in terms of the environment and economy. The kitchen will work actively for good nutritional care and will be a resource for department staff related to nutrition.

Turnus/daytime: 37.5 hours/week with work every 4th weekend and holidays.

  • Production planning and purchasing.
  • Preparation of meals including diets and special diets.
  • Create and develop the food offer, to residents/patients and lunch guests with nutrition and sustainable focus.
  • Supervision and training of staff, temporary staff and apprentices.
  • Occasional work such as cleaning, tidying and washing up.
Qualifications:
  • Cook with trade certificate or equivalent qualifications.
  • ICT skills.
  • Initiative and interest in professional development in food and nutrition.
  • Good understanding of kitchen economy and sustainable operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others based on the municipality's values: competence, commitment and respect.
  • Good Norwegian knowledge, written and oral
  • Personal suitability, relevant experience, ability to collaborate, organize and develop will be emphasized.
  • Good attitudes to working life.
