Description of the workplace:

Health promotion services work to support citizens to take responsibility for their own health, so that they can remain active and live in their own homes for as long as possible. The service works from a public health and lifecycle perspective, focusing on all phases of life - from childhood and youth, to adulthood and old age. We emphasize rehabilitation, prevention and user participation, in order to promote participation, health and coping skills among our users.

This position is affiliated with the physiotherapy and occupational therapy service in health promotion services, based at Øverby. The area of responsibility primarily includes physiotherapy for adults and the elderly, whether they live in their own home, in institutions, other forms of housing or have short-term stays in nursing homes.

The temporary position is valid from 01.08.2026 up to and including 31.01.2027. Earlier start-up will be possible.

Tasks:

  • Perform individual physiotherapy assessment, mapping and treatment.
  • Physiotherapy responsibility in the short-term wards.
  • Responsibility for group offers, as well as contributing to healthy life learning and coping offers.
  • Facilitate home environment and housing, as well as communicate and guide in the use of technical aids.
  • Use a knowledge-based and holistic approach to users with complex needs.
  • Strengthen users' opportunities to master everyday life through guidance of users, relatives and partners.
  • Initiate and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration both internally in the service and with external partners.
Qualifications:
  • Authorization as a physiotherapist.
  • Experience and knowledge from municipal physiotherapy is desirable.
  • Interest in professional development and ability to adapt to future challenges.
  • Good understanding of the physiotherapist's role in patient care, including goal setting, implementation of measures, evaluation and termination of treatment.
  • Good Norwegian language skills (B2 level for applicants without Scandinavian background).
  • Driver's license class B.
  • Requirement for approved police certificate.
