Description of the workplace:

Health centre services in Gjøvik municipality are organized under the upbringing sector and are part of the children and family service, together with the family team, young people in Gjøvik, the PP service and residential communities and inclusion. The health center services have their own business manager and approximately 27 man-years and 30 employees. We offer services to pregnant women, children and young people and their families within antenatal care, health center 0-5 years, school health services and youth health center. In addition, we offer travel vaccinations and are responsible for infection control together with the municipal medical officer.

The health center in Gjøvik municipality is located in the town hall together with several of the other upbringing services. The health centre service is organized into specialist teams based on work area.

We work on the basis of a positive approach and want to strengthen families and children/young people's resources and see opportunities rather than limitations. Gjøvik municipality works according to the values of competence, commitment and respect.

Tasks:
  • Follow-up of pregnant women in line with national professional guidelines for pregnancy and maternity care

  • Collaboration with other professional groups in and outside their own service
  • Follow-up checks and contraception for maternity women in the health center
  • Documentation in the professional program HsPro
Qualifications:
  • Approved police certificate required
  • Public authorization as a midwife
  • Preferably experience and practice from pregnancy and maternity care in the municipal health service
  • Driver's license class B
  • Approved police certificate must be presented

  • Professional commitment to the profession of midwifery
  • Have good collaboration skills and understanding of interdisciplinary interaction and holistic thinking
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Is structured, flexible and solution-oriented
  • Good communication skills, written and oral presentation skills
