Description of the workplace:
Bofellesskap og inkludering (BOFIN) settles unaccompanied refugee minors in Gjøvik municipality and operates a total of 4 residential communities with 24-hour staffing. We also provide follow-up to young people who live in their own accommodation. We work to give the young people a good platform for an independent life in a new country. Our vision is that the housing communities are homes that will be a stable starting point for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers and refugees' integration and development as citizens of Norway. We help young people to thrive and develop, and enable them to face life as an adult. The company's professional foundation is based on relational competence.
On-call substitute as environmental therapist in various positions related to the project.
Tasks:
- Environmental therapeutic work. Daily care for young people in the age group 14-20 years
- Be part of a team that follows up the young people
- Function as a clear adult, supportive conversation partner and confidence-building supervisor
- Participate and engage the youth in positive activities and homework help
- Light housework and practical tasks in the house and garden
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social science, social worker, child protection worker, social worker
- Other education relevant to the position may also be considered
Police clearance required.
Personal qualities:
- We are looking for robust, clear-minded adults
- Experience working with children and young people is desirable, or other social work
- Requires good oral and written Norwegian language skills
- Requires knowledge of Norwegian society
- Desirable experience with youth
- Desirable experience from behavioral analytical work
- Good communication and collaboration skills
