Gjøvik municipality and adapted services embrace a diversity of services within different user groups and have a solid professional competence with an interdisciplinary profile in the management and employee group.

Sørbyen 3 consists of an activity center for people with various disabilities, as well as a 24-hour relief unit. We have a need to recruit new committed employees in 7 different permanent weekend positions with position size from 15.5% to 26.17%, who are passionate about making a difference for children and young people with various disabilities.

The weekend positions currently belong to the relief unit that provides services to children and young people with different disabilities with decisions on relief in the institution.

The business is located at Kopperud.

Shifts: Different weekend frequency with an emphasis on 2 every/ 3 every weekend on the different shifts.

Tasks:

  • Various tasks within practical assistance, training and guidance, as well as health care for people with different and complex needs.
  • Documentation in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist with activities and tasks that contribute to an active everyday life, with a focus on self-determination, habilitation and coping.
  • Collaboration with relatives
  • Ensuring user participation and self-determination.

Qualifications:

  • Authorization as a health professional is an advantage, and students in health and social care and assistants are encouraged to apply.
  • Relevant practice with the user group and from similar work within health and care, but training will be provided.
  • Good written and oral presentation skills.
  • Competence in the use of computer tools.
  • Has the user's needs in focus.
  • Flexible in relation to work tasks and changes.
  • Personal suitability is given great importance.
  • Requirement for an approved police certificate.
