Description of the workplace:

Gjøvik municipality has organized health and care services for younger people with various disabilities and assistance needs in adapted services. Adapted services embrace a diversity of services within different user groups and have a solid professional competence with an interdisciplinary profile in both management and in the additional staff group.

The position belongs to a company that provides services to people with various disabilities who live in full-time staffed housing. Services are provided such as practical assistance in the home and various needs for help in daily life skills, chores and health care.

We are looking for a committed flexible health professional who is passionate about making a difference for people with various disabilities.

We are looking for you who want a permanent job, but flexible employment that involves the possibility of variation related to work location and work schedule within the applicable deadlines. The department can be changed according to operational needs, but then within the same subject area and expertise.

The business consists of 2 homes with 24-hour staffing and is nicely located in a cozy residential area with a short distance to many hiking opportunities that are used extensively.

Turnus: day, evening and third every weekend.

Tasks:
  • Various tasks such as practical assistance, training, guidance and health care.
  • Assist with activities and tasks that contribute to an active everyday life, with a focus on self-determination, habilitation and coping.
  • Ensure user participation and self-determination
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation, teamwork and targeted environmental work.
  • Patient collaboration
  • Colleague collaboration.
  • Documentation in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Responsibility for self-development and innovation within the profession and work in general.
Qualifications:
  • Approved authorization as a health care worker, as well as others with relevant professional education may also be considered.
  • Knowledge and experience of targeted environmental work, the Health and Care Services Act Chapter 9 and relevant practice with the user group is an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • Has the user's needs in focus.
  • Flexible in relation to work tasks and changes.
  • Takes the initiative and creates commitment with regard to professional development and a good working environment.
  • Work in a structured, independent and systematic manner, independently and in teams.
  • Personal suitability is given great importance.
  • Requirement for approved police certificate and driving license class B.
