Description of the workplace:

Bjørkelia bofellesskap is part of Sørbyen care center. The care center houses the offices of the home care service, 2 nursing home departments and adapted services/environmental services

Bjørkelia is a free-standing residential community for people with dementia. Here, 24 people live in 3 wards in the same building with a beautiful sensory garden outside. We are one of the municipality's HDO - full-time care services. The residents rent their apartments/rooms and are regarded as home residents. The department consists of 20 full-time equivalents and has about 40 employees, including permanent and temporary staff.

You will be involved in providing health and care services to people with different and complex needs. We value discussion and engagement to promote professional development and ethical reflection.

Night shift position of 54.93% with work every 3 weekends, and evening shifts during weekdays corresponding to 11.79%. In total, this is 66.72%.

Work tasks:
  • Provide care for our residents and participate in a working day with a wide variety of tasks
  • Practical and incidental tasks
  • Documentation in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines
  • Responsibility for seeking advice assistance and guidance when needed
  • Collaboration with relatives and colleagues
  • Contribute to an inclusive and good working environment
Qualifications:
  • Approved authorized health professional
  • Interest in dementia care
  • Personal suitability will be emphasized
  • You are flexible, clear and solution-oriented
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian, both orally and in writing
  • General ICT skills
  • Knowledge of gerica is an advantage
  • Police certificate without remarks must be presented
