Description of the workplace:
Gjøvik municipality has a vacant 50% operating agreement for psychomotor physiotherapist from 01.09.2026, with planned escalation to 100% position from 01.09.2027 at the latest. The agreement will be awarded on the terms set out in ASA 4313.
The agreement is located at Gjøvik Fysioterapi AS, which is centrally located in the center of Gjøvik at Storgaten 10. The department consists of 6 contract physiotherapists with broad professional expertise. For more information, please visit www.gjovikfysioterapi.no
Tasks:
- Practice in accordance with the Health and Care Services Act, agreements for physiotherapists (ASA 4303 and ASA 4313) and regulations on functional and quality requirements for physiotherapists with municipal operating agreements.
- Practice in line with priorities for the health and care sector in the municipality.
- Provide psychomotor physiotherapy, both individual and group-based treatment.
- Use an active approach with guidance for self-management and activity.
- Collaborate with the municipality's other healthcare professionals and external agencies for comprehensive patient follow-up.
- Participate in the operation and community at Gjøvik Fysioterapi AS.
Qualifications:
Gjøvik municipality places great emphasis on service development and collaboration to meet the health and care services' future challenges. This means that they want candidates who not only have solid experience and expertise in psychosomatic physiotherapy, but who are also committed to the development of knowledge-based physiotherapy services that can meet the future needs of the municipality.
- Have Norwegian authorization as a physiotherapist specializing in psychomotor physiotherapy, master's degree or further education in psychomotor physiotherapy with the requirement of approval to use tariff A9.
- Have clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of patients with mental and complex disorders.
- Have expertise in trauma treatment (desirable).
- Have experience of group training (desirable).
- Demonstrate continuous commitment to professional development in line with future challenges.
- Be fluent in Norwegian, both written and spoken, at a minimum of B2 level for those with education from abroad.
- Have an approved police certificate.

- Have good collaboration and communication skills with patients, colleagues and partners.
- Ability to reflect on their own role as a physiotherapist, areas of responsibility, interaction and patient pathways.

Gjøvik municipality practices more public access, cf. Section 11 of the Freedom of Information Act.
