Description of the workplace:
Gjøvik municipality's department of municipal technical operations is located in Hunndalen. The department consists of 30 man-years divided between roads, parks, forests, open air, facilities and its own workshop.
The municipality invests annually in the upgrading of roads where municipal technical operations is the builder. GK Anlegg, which is our municipal contractor, currently has three active projects involving the renovation of water and wastewater networks in collaboration with local contractors.
We now have a vacancy for a permanent position as a sampling engineer in the municipal engineering unit. The position is newly created and gives you a unique opportunity to help shape the role and working methods in close collaboration with the professional environment.
Tasks:
- Surveying and surveying in connection with municipal road, water and sewerage projects
- Follow-up and control of construction work to ensure correct placement, heights and quality
- Preparation and updating of as-built documentation
- Processing and entry of data Gemini terrain
- Control measurements and documentation in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and municipal requirements
- Collaboration with project managers, engineers, contractors and other internal professional environments
- Contribute with professional support in geomatics in the planning and implementation of municipal technical projects
- Operation, use and maintenance of measuring equipment (GNSS, total station, etc.m.
- Archiving and structuring of measurement data and project documentation
- Contribute to the further development of routines and working methods in geomatics and surveying
Qualifications:
- Relevant education in geomatics, land surveying, maps and surveying, or equivalent
(vocational school, bachelor or relevant experience can compensate for formal education) - Good knowledge of the use of GNSS, total station and other relevant measuring equipment
- Ability to work in a structured manner with documentation and quality assurance of measurement data
- Good written and oral skills in Norwegian
- Driver's license class B
Desirable with the following qualifications:
- Experience with surveying and sampling in connection with road and water and wastewater facilities
- Experience with the program Gemini terrain
- Experience with GIS tools and municipal professional systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of water and wastewater standards, road standards and technical regulations
