Description of the workplace:

Haugtun 6 is one of the home care services located near the city center in Gjøvik Municipality, based at the Haugtun Care Center. The Haugtun Home Care Service, Department 6, consists of 25 full-time equivalents, and our mission is to provide health and care services to people living at home. We serve a diverse group of clients, which contributes to a broad and constantly evolving range of expertise.

We are a dedicated and positive team looking for a colleague who is professionally curious and organized. As a specialized nurse, you will serve as the unit’s cancer liaison, with 20% of the position dedicated to this role.

You will have overall responsibility for the follow-up care of cancer patients within the unit. You will also participate in a cancer liaison group within the home care service, with regular meetings focused on professional development, sharing experiences, and reflection. If you’d like to contribute your knowledge and expertise to benefit service users, then you’re exactly the person we’re looking for.

Here, you’ll work alongside skilled and dedicated colleagues in a positive work environment characterized by collaboration. There are also opportunities to serve as a resource with specialized tasks within your own team, based on your interests and the team’s needs. 

The position currently involves a two-part shift schedule with work every third weekend.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed as a nurse
  • Advanced training and/or experience, or a desire for further training, in cancer care or palliative care
  • Class B driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills in Norwegian, both written and oral. 
  • General ICT skills
