The workplace is located at the Nordbyen Care Center, which also houses two nursing home units for people with dementia, a shared living community for people with dementia, day activity programs, and a café. 
The Nordbyen Home Care Service consists of approximately 24 full-time equivalents and is tasked with providing health and care services to people living at home.

We are looking for a professionally dedicated specialized nurse to join our team in the mobile home care service.

As our cancer liaison, you will have overall responsibility for following up with cancer patients in our organization; 20% of the position is dedicated to this responsibility. You will also be part of the municipality’s network of cancer liaisons, led by the municipal cancer coordinator. The network holds regular meetings focused on professional development, sharing experiences, and reflection.  

The position currently involves a two-part rotation with work every third weekend

Qualifications:
  • Licensed as a nurse.
  • Further education and/or experience, or a desire for further education, in cancer care or palliative care. 
  • Good general understanding of ICT systems; Gjøvik Municipality uses the ICT programs Gerica, Gat, Visma, EQS, and Teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills. Strong oral and written communication skills in Norwegian.
  • Class B driver’s license.
  • Valid police clearance certificate.
