Description of the workplace:

The nursing home doctors have the medical responsibility for a total of the municipality's nursing home places, incl. KAD, palliative unit, rehabilitation and reinforced unit. The service is varied, meaningful and challenging, and all care centers have good nurse coverage.

The main base for the doctors is at Haugtun nursing home, but the doctors have visits / supervision at the following care centers: Haugtun, Sørbyen and Nordbyen.

We have 4 x 100% permanent positions as a nursing home doctor, all with permanently employed nursing home doctors.

The temporary position is from August until December.

Duties:

With guidance from the permanent nursing home doctors:

  • Diagnosis, assessment and treatment of patients at nursing homes, including short-term and long-term wards, rehabilitation, palliation and psychogeriatrics
  • Contribute to ensuring that patients at the municipality's nursing homes receive a comprehensive range of services through information, advice and guidance to patients, relatives and partners
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary staff, nurses, home care services, GPs and discussions with relatives
Qualifications:
  • Norwegian authorization as a doctor, preferably with completed LIS1 / medical student with license
  • Desirable with experience from and commitment to the field of nursing home medicine
  • Good collaboration skills and good implementation ability
  • Structured and goal-oriented
  • Positive and solution-oriented with professional attitudes
  • Good written and oral presentation skills with good Norwegian language skills
  • An active contributor in the working environment
  • Personal suitability is emphasized
  • Approved police certificate
