
All children and young people should have a childhood characterized by well-being, safety, and life skills through effective collaboration with parents, the right expertise close to children and young people, interdisciplinary cooperation, and an inclusive community. The participation of children and youth and the development of strong relationships should be integral to all work with children and youth (“On the Same Team for Children and Youth in Gjøvik—A Holistic Upbringing Strategy”).
Gjøvik Municipality is an international and multicultural community. To help ensure that children in cross-cultural families have the best possible upbringing in Gjøvik, the public health clinic service is now establishing a migration health team. The team will consist of two public health nurses in addition to this newly created position.
The position is temporary, project-based for one year, with the possibility of extension. Workload: 80–100% (please specify desired position size). Working hours are primarily during the day, but some afternoon and evening work must be expected.
