Haugtun 4th Floor is part of a modern care center with excellent facilities, welfare technology solutions, and strong professional teams. The position is organized under 24-hour care services and is part of an established and inclusive leadership team consisting of 13 facility directors at the municipality’s care centers. As part of this leadership team, you’ll receive support, guidance, and the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of tomorrow’s health and care services in Gjøvik Municipality. This is a permanent, full-time position.

About the Workplace

Haugtun, 4th Floor, is located at the Haugtun Care Center and consists of 20 apartments for individuals requiring round-the-clock care, with dedicated staff on-site 24 hours a day.

Haugtun Care Center is a modern care facility that also houses home care services, specialized services, nursing home units, a café, and more.

Job Responsibilities

As the business manager, you will have overall responsibility for the business’s operations, human resources, health, safety, and the environment, and will report directly to the department head.

Among other things, you will:

• Lead and further develop the business in line with the municipality’s goals and management principles
• Ensure high-quality, sound, and responsible services for residents
• Create an inclusive work environment with a focus on employee development, engagement, and empowerment
• Facilitate professional development, innovation, ethical reflection, and the use of assistive technology
• Be responsible for finances, the budget, and efficient operations within given parameters
• Conduct systematic HSE work and contribute to good cooperation with employee representatives and the safety committee
• Ensure good cooperation with residents, family members, and other municipal services
• Actively contribute to development and improvement efforts across organizations and service areas

Qualifications

• Licensed as a nurse
• Management experience or experience in roles involving professional and personnel responsibility
• Management training, or a willingness to complete management training
• Experience with or interest in 24-hour services and assistive technology
• Experience with financial management and budgeting
• Knowledge of labor laws and collective bargaining agreements
• Strong digital skills and experience with relevant professional systems
• Experience with work schedule planning
• Strong Norwegian language skills, both spoken and written

Personal suitability will be given significant weight.

A valid police clearance must be presented upon hire.
