Gjøvik Municipality is the host municipality for the regional procurement unit. We provide professional procurement support to the five municipalities in the region. The workplace is Gjøvik City Hall, but you should expect to attend meetings and travel to the other municipalities as needed.

We are looking for someone with an interest in and expertise in public procurement who can contribute to effective and strategic purchasing for the municipalities in the partnership.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Advise the municipalities on procurement processes
  • Manage and carry out public procurement
  • Prepare bidding documents, conduct negotiations and evaluations in collaboration with subject matter experts and project teams
  • Foster constructive dialogue with the supplier market.
  • Focus on quality, efficiency, and value creation
  • The municipalities in the region are committed to practicing greater transparency and conducting processes that are predictable, verifiable, and well-documented
  • Conduct contract and supplier follow-up in collaboration with clients in each municipality
  • Contribute to the development of the field, the teams, and the continuous improvement of processes and procedures


As part of the procurement unit, you are expected to work independently while also maintaining a big-picture perspective and creating value through collaboration with other employees in the unit and key personnel in the individual municipalities. 

Qualifications:
  • Relevant education at the bachelor’s or master’s level, preferably in the fields of procurement/logistics, law, economics, or another relevant background
  • Extensive and relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in Norwegian
  • Experience with public procurement regulations
