Gjøvik Municipality is entering an exciting phase of development in the area of water supply. With ambitious plans for water, wastewater, and the aquatic environment leading up to 2030, we are focused on building a robust, sustainable, and forward-looking water and wastewater infrastructure.
As the manager of the Gjøvik Waterworks, you will play a central role in this effort. You will be a driving force behind a safe and stable water supply—a task that is crucial for residents’ health, the environment, and the community’s emergency preparedness. This role gives you significant influence and the opportunity to shape how this critical service will develop in the years to come.
Today, the water supply consists of two active water treatment plants and one backup plant, which together ensure ample capacity and operational reliability. At the same time, we are embarking on one of our most exciting projects: the construction of a new, modern water treatment plant in Biri, scheduled to begin operations in late 2026.
