About us:

H2 Green Steel aims to change the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the ultimate goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal, water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel per year in our fully integrated, digitized and sustainable facility in Boden in northern Sweden - which is currently under construction.

Maintenance Manager Electricity & Automation

The E&A manager is responsible for establishing and developing a strong safety culture in his organization. You will take responsibility for promoting a safe working environment by actively establishing and maintaining control measures and safety procedures. You will plan maintenance actions and lead a team of technicians. As the leader of the unit, you will have the opportunity to build a competent and reliable team from scratch, capable of scaling H2GS's business.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Responsible for implementing maintenance strategies, activity plans, schedules and preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Responsible for safety and working environment.
  • Lead the team of engineers and technicians, provide guidance, training and support.
  • Responsibility for execution of electrical/automation projects including upgrades and installations.
  • Monitor and manage electrical/automation systems and technology to ensure they operate efficiently and comply with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, inventory, equipment maintenance and provide regular reports to production management.
  • Work with and manage suppliers and contractors.
  • Manage the department's budget.
  • Promote an innovative and inclusive organizational culture with a focus on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Relevant civil engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with greenfield projects, startups or commissioning.
  • Strong process and technical knowledge in electricity/automation.
  • Electricity authorization.
  • Solid experience with electrical systems, automation and PLC programming.
  • Automation - Siemens PLCS7, HMI, SCADA.
  • Experience with ISO systems 9001/14001/45001.
  • Insight into digital tools for maintenance.
  • Experience of working with equipment from SMS.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools Office packages, CMMS systems etc.
  • Very good leadership qualities.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Very good communication skills in English. Basic Swedish knowledge is seen as a plus.
