The Night Service is seeking a nurse or social care worker for an 80% permanent position

The Night Service provides services to clients throughout the municipality of Hamar, with a focus on helping them manage their daily lives so they can continue living at home for as long as possible.

Hamar Municipality has its own pay scale for registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, and those with a 3-year degree requiring further specialization, which provides NOK 35,000 above the guaranteed salary in the main collective bargaining agreement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily follow-up with clients in Hamar Municipality
  • Documentation of services provided, as well as observations, decisions, and messages
  • Providing healthcare to clients in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Contributing to interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Documenting in the Gerica system

Qualifications

  • Norwegian license as a registered nurse or social care nurse
  • You must have strong communication skills, both in written and spoken Norwegian
  • Valid work and residence permits
  • Proficiency in ICT tools; experience with the Gerica and GAT systems is preferred
  • Experience in home health care is a plus
  • A driver’s license is required to start the position
  • A police clearance certificate is required for anyone providing services under Section 5-4 of the Health and Care Services Act. The certificate must be presented before starting the position.

The Municipality of Hamar is in need of registered nurses and certified social care workers, and offers those who wish to work and live in the municipality the opportunity to apply for a starter loan for housing. To apply, you must hold at least a 50% permanent position as a nurse or social care worker, or have received a job offer that you intend to accept.
The starter loan can only be used to purchase a home in Hamar Municipality. You do not need any down payment to qualify for the starter loan, and you can borrow 100% of the purchase price. The condition is that you must be able to repay the loan and are unable to obtain a loan from a regular bank.
