Your responsibilities will include providing practical assistance and guidance in daily life, as well as working purposefully on community-building activities that support the users’ development and well-being. You will participate in and assist with recreational activities such as horseback riding, swimming, skiing, gym workouts, and other activities that the clients wish to take part in.
The job also involves documenting activities in the Gerica system in a professional and accurate manner. In addition, you are expected to contribute to good cooperation with family members and other partners, and to help create safe and positive relationships around the clients.
We are seeking students in social care, nursing, or other relevant 3-year health, social work, or education programs. In addition, healthcare workers and others with experience and an interest in working with people with developmental disabilities are encouraged to apply.
All positions require the submission of a valid police background check in accordance with Section 5-4 of the Health and Care Services Act prior to starting the position. A driver’s license is also required, and a copy of the license must be submitted before starting work.

Salary is determined in accordance with applicable central and local agreements. In accordance with the municipality’s salary policy, students enrolled in at least a 3-year program in social care or nursing are guaranteed a higher salary upon presentation of documentation.
Appointment is otherwise subject to the terms set forth in laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, including membership in a pension plan in accordance with applicable agreements. Prior to starting the position, you must submit verified information regarding your tuberculosis/tuberculin status and MRSA status on the form provided with the job offer.
