One of our skilled primary care physicians is retiring after having served as a primary care physician since 1990, and we are therefore advertising a vacancy for a primary care physician position. We are looking for a colleague with strong clinical skills, a commitment to the profession, and an interest in general practice.

The position at Disen Medical Center is available effective March 1, 2027, and has a patient limit of 890, but this can be adjusted upon request and by agreement with the municipality.
The medical center has four general practitioners. All of the general practitioners are specialists in general medicine. In addition, we have 3 medical secretaries (a total of 2.4 full-time equivalents). The medical center uses the CGM medical record system. It is organized as a corporation in which each doctor operates their own sole proprietorship.

The medical center is located near the city center and enjoys a good reputation due to stable physician coverage, as well as skilled and accommodating medical secretaries with extensive experience. We offer an excellent collegial work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary care physician for patients on the roster.
• Perform general practice duties in accordance with laws and regulations.
• The physician is required to participate in the intermunicipal on-call service. The Hedmarken intermunicipal on-call service operates smoothly with a daytime on-call system and includes, among other things, a staffed on-call vehicle.
• As of today, there is no municipal position associated with the primary care physician license, but the municipality may assign municipal duties totaling up to 7.5 hours per week.
• The license holder agrees to join the existing cooperation agreement with the other physicians.

Qualifications

• Norwegian medical license and approved LIS1 status.
• Must be a specialist in general practice, have begun specialization in general practice, or commit to starting specialization
• Strong proficiency in Norwegian—both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills
• Relevant experience from a primary care practice is desirable
• A valid police clearance certificate must be presented upon starting the position.

Terms of employment:

It is a prerequisite that an agreement be reached with the current primary care physician at Disen Medical Center regarding the terms for joining the medical center’s established shared office space. The financial terms are to be agreed upon directly with the medical center.

Upon appointment, a satisfactory police clearance certificate will be required. Otherwise, the appointment will be made in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and agreements. The awarding of a general practitioner contract is governed by the framework agreement between KS and the Norwegian Medical Association ASA 4310.
