Work tasks

We are looking for an experienced, committed and solution-oriented case officer for a permanent position as a building case officer.

In the building case in Hamar municipality, you will work together with 8 other skilled case officers, with case processing of building cases according to the Planning and Building Act, supervision, as well as guidance of customers, as the main work tasks.

Byggesak is one of 6 departments in the Community Development business; together with land use planning and urban development, surveying and environment/climate with close cooperation between the departments, and pleasant colleagues in a good working environment.

Qualifications

  • Higher education at master's / bachelor's level from university / college is an advantage; engineering, law, architecture or other relevant disciplines.
  • Vocational school with extensive relevant experience can compensate for lack of higher education.
  • Experience from case management or building supervision under the Planning and Building Act is an advantage.
  • Solid oral and written Norwegian skills, and good communication skills.
  • Hamar municipality has recently adopted a new supervision strategy. In connection with the implementation of building inspections, we need a sociable and reliable person with technical building expertise and experience.
  • Driver's license class B is an advantage.
