Rollsløkken School is a traditional primary school that opened its doors in 1922. In the coming school year, we will have around 280 students and 45 employees divided between school and after-school care. Our school is characterized by rich diversity - our pupils come from almost 50 different countries, and we have a large number of languages represented in our student body. We are looking for a substitute in an 80-100% teaching position, with contact teacher responsibility in the lower school. The position is a maternity substitute from August 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027.

Our focus areas
We have a strong focus on reading, and "Time for reading" is one of our main initiatives in the coming school year. The school library is a natural focal point, and all grades have weekly library hours.
- In the lower grades, we are continuing the project "Playful learning and learning play".
- In the middle grades, we are collaborating with UINN on a development project that will contribute to more active, student-centered and engaging teaching.

Qualifications

Approved pedagogical education for work in the lower grades. Relevant educational pathways are:

  • Grundskolelærer utdanning 1.-7. trinn (GLU 1-7)
  • General teacher education
  • Other approved educational education that provides teaching expertise in 1st-4th grade / 1st-7th grade

In addition, we want you to have:

  • Competence and experience from early childhood education, especially in reading, writing and arithmetic.
  • 30 credits in two of the subjects Norwegian, mathematics or English.
  • Formal expertise in special education.
  • Experience in play-based learning and expertise/experience in practical aesthetic subjects.

A valid police certificate (according to the Education Act § 10-9) and tuberculin test must be presented upon appointment.
