The service area is part of the municipal area Health and coping, and provides services to residents with various challenges related to disabilities.

Our mission is rooted in a habilitation perspective and involves facilitating coping, independence, inclusion and active participation in society.

The service area includes several 24-hour residential communities, two relief units and one work and activity center. In addition, services are provided to residents who live in their own owned or rented homes.

Duties and responsibilities

As unit manager, you have overall responsibility for the management, operation and development of the unit in line with the overall goals, guidelines and values of Hamar municipality. You facilitate systematic management and good internal control, and ensure quality in the provision of services as well as continuous further development of the services.

The position involves personnel, financial and professional responsibility for your own area of responsibility, including responsibility for efficient use of resources, good staffing planning and sustainable operations. You contribute to holistic and coherent services through good interdisciplinary cooperation, both internally in the municipality and in collaboration with external actors.

As part of the management team in Facilitated Services, you actively participate in the planning, implementation, evaluation and adjustment of the business, and contribute to the common direction and development of the service area.

An important part of the role is to ensure clear interaction and good coordination, as well as to establish appropriate forms of cooperation with employees, relatives, volunteers and other relevant professional environments.

You actively contribute to the development and improvement of the services, with a focus on quality, sustainability and future-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant bachelor's degree in health and social sciences or educational subjects. Further education in management is a requirement.

You have management experience, preferably from health and care services, and a good understanding of financial frameworks, efficient operations and responsible resource management.

You are proficient in the use of ICT tools and digital work processes to support management and service development.

You have good written and verbal presentation skills in Norwegian.

It is an advantage to have a driver's license, as it must be expected to move between different locations in everyday work.
