The mental health and substance abuse service in Hamar municipality provides services to people with various mental health and substance abuse challenges. The service consists of several teams that mainly provide low-threshold services with a recovery-based approach.
The pregnancy substitute position that is advertised is available in Rapid Mental Health Care (RPH) from September 1, 2026. RPH is a well-documented evidence-based low-threshold service that provides a short-term treatment offer in the municipality. The help is given to people over the age of 16 with anxiety disorders, mild and moderate depression, sleep difficulties and incipient substance abuse problems. The service is free of charge and people can make direct contact without a doctor's referral. Treatment at RPH is based on cognitive behavioral therapy in the form of teaching-based courses, guided self-help, treatment groups and individual psychotherapy. The service has 2 psychology specialists who can provide guidance to psychologists in specialization.
Primarily psychologists are sought, but in the event of a lack of applicants, applicants with a 3-year college education, treatment experience and further education, preferably cognitive behavioral therapy, may also be relevant. The position is daytime.
Work tasks
- Provide treatment services according to Rapid Mental Health Care's methodology
- Lead RPH's teaching-based courses
- Understand and use assisted self-help
- Contribute to providing a short-term treatment offer to the target group
Qualifications
- The temporary position primarily requires authorization as a psychologist, secondarily 3-year college education with treatment experience and adequate further education. Preferably cognitive therapy
- Driver's license cl. B
- Practical experience with targeted and shorter courses of treatment is an advantage
- Before starting, a valid police certificate according to the Health and Care Services Act § 5-4 must be presented
