Hedmarken interkommunale legevakt is looking for professionally strong and committed doctors for our out-of-hours service. You must be confident, energetic and enjoy a working day with various challenges. Here you will have a varied and meaningful workday with emergency medicine in focus. We are an inter-municipal out-of-hours service for Hamar, Stange, Løten and the southern part of Ringsaker and have a population base of around 90,000 inhabitants. Over the course of a year, around 22,000 consultations are carried out, the out-of-hours service receives around 50,000 telephone enquiries and the out-of-hours service has around 3,000 patient visits/emergencies. We are located in temporary premises in Ottestad, and will eventually move into new premises.
Out-of-hours medicine is a comprehensive field that is constantly evolving. The partner municipalities place great value on a good professional environment and patient safety and will deliver knowledge-based services.
Daytime on-call doctors will primarily be staffed with part-time positions among doctors who have a GP contract in the four collaborating municipalities, but other doctors who are qualified may also apply.
The days to be covered are Monday and Wednesday, please state in the application which day is relevant or whether both days may be relevant.
Tasks
- The position is part of the municipal general medical service. Professional services will be offered to patients in need of out-of-hours services
- Diagnosis and treatment of patients who, after urgent assessment by a nurse, are offered a consultation at the out-of-hours service
- Expressing and visiting patients with a uniformed out-of-hours car in collaboration with the ambulance service
- Independent responsibility for following applicable laws, regulations and procedures
- Collaborate with nurses on duty and the management of the out-of-hours service
- Actively contribute to professional development
Qualifications
- Norwegian authorization as a doctor
- Experience from out-of-hours medicine and emergency medicine
- Good knowledge of the Norwegian healthcare system and experience from general practice
- Specialist or commenced specialization in general medicine. Other relevant specialties may be considered
- Fulfill the requirements of the Emergency Medicine Regulations for independent on-call duty. alternatively undertake to take the necessary course before joining
- Approved police certificate
