The PPT service in Hamar consists of 12 people: 1 speech-language pathologist (100%), 8.5 PPT counselors (850%), a consultant (30%), and a service manager.

Job Responsibilities
- Help create inclusive teaching practices so that all students experience inclusion and a sense of mastery
- Provide guidance and counseling to support development and change initiatives in the school
- Conduct assessments and provide expert opinions
- Collaborate with children/students with varying levels of functioning, parents, the school, and other support services
- Help ensure that interventions are implemented early and are targeted effectively.
Qualifications
- A degree in psychology, education, or special education is required. Preferably a professional degree, major, or master’s degree, but not an absolute requirement
- Relevant education (e.g., special education teacher or speech-language pathologist) and experience may compensate for a master’s degree and will be considered
- Broad assessment and counseling skills
- Relevant work experience in schools/PPT/BUP, and good knowledge of children with special needs. Experience from PPT is preferred
- Good knowledge of the school curriculum
- Good oral and written communication skills in Norwegian
- Good digital skills
- Must have a driver’s license
- A valid police clearance certificate must be presented before starting the position.
