Hedmarken legevakt is an inter-municipal out-of-hours service for Hamar, Stange, Løten and the southern part of Ringsaker. We have a population base of approx. 87,000 inhabitants. Hedmarken legevakt is located at Tunbekkvegen 8, 2312 Ottestad in Stange municipality. The tasks as a holiday substitute involve working in a team with nurses and doctors on duty, and include patient-oriented work, urgency assessment and prioritization according to recognized principles. Tasks are allocated according to your qualifications. In addition, we have a good and broad collaboration with other emergency services and health services. We are looking for people who want to make a positive contribution to our working environment, and who are professionally curious, professionally committed and have good work capacity. There will be different job sizes for the temporary positions, but we strive to achieve a 100% position.
The main holiday period is in weeks 25-33.

Tasks

  • Provide nursing care to out-of-hours patients
  • Emergency assessment of patients on arrival
  • Collaboration with AMK, emergency department, ambulance service and other healthcare providers
  • If you have previous experience from out-of-hours and/or emergency medicine, minimum 2 years, you will be trained to answer telephone calls (116117) according to current procedures, and to provide advice, guidance and take action over the phone.

Qualifications

  • Publicly approved nurse/specialist nurse
  • Authorized paramedic, paramedic with additional education, medical student who has completed 4 years.
  • Experience from emergency care or emergency medicine is desirable
  • Student nurses with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
