The department provides long-term care to patients with complex needs, where relationship building, continuity and comprehensive follow-up are crucial to the quality of the services. Tasks

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and professional guidelines, with a focus on safety, dignity and individual adaptation.
  • Collaborate actively with colleagues, interdisciplinary agencies and volunteers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated services.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with patients and relatives through open communication, security and participation.
  • Provide professionally sound and up-to-date documentation in the Gerica system, which contributes to quality and continuity of services.

Qualifications

  • Authorization as a health professional
  • Interest in the field and preferably experience from working in nursing homes or similar municipal health and care services.
  • Experience from primary contact work is desirable
  • Good communication and formulation skills in Norwegian, both orally and in writing, which ensure good interaction with patients, relatives and partners.
  • Basic digital skills, with the ability to use ICT tools in everyday work. Experience with the Gerica system is an advantage

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who has good collaborative skills, while working independently and taking responsibility in everyday work. You are flexible, responsible and have the ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate tasks in a structured and efficient manner.

You are motivated, committed and professionally aware, with good communication skills that contribute to safe interaction with patients, relatives and colleagues. As an employee, you are an environment creator and inspirer, and act as a good role model in the department.

We would like you to be a professional driver, with an interest in development work and quality in the services, and preferably experience from elderly care. The position requires good physical and mental health, as the work can be both physically and emotionally demanding.
