Then the position of unit manager at Prestrudsenteret may be for you.

Prestrudsenteret is one of four nursing homes in Hamar municipality and consists of four nursing home departments and care homes in close proximity. The departments are functionally divided into dementia, somatics and geriatrics, palliative care and KAD. The position is linked to Ward 2, which is a somatic long-term ward.

Duties

  • Overall responsibility for the management of personnel, subjects and finances in the department
  • Ensure that the services maintain high professional quality and are exercised in line with applicable laws, regulations and internal requirements
  • Responsibility for shift planning, efficient resource management and further development of full-time culture
  • Lead and facilitate a good and inclusive working environment, with a focus on empowered, committed and competent employees
  • Contribute actively in the center's management team and in interdisciplinary collaboration across departments
  • Be a clear and trust-building partner internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Authorization as a nurse or social worker
  • Management education and/or relevant management experience is desirable
  • Experience from elderly care and/or dementia care will be an advantage
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian, both oral and written
  • Good digital understanding and ability to use ICT tools in everyday work - experience with the professional systems Gerica, Agresso and GAT is desirable
  • Valid work and residence permits in Norway
  • Police clearance is required in accordance with the Health and Care Services Act § 5-4
    (must be presented before joining)
