Caring is more than tasks. It's seeing a person behind the need. To meet the day as it is - with patience, presence and respect.
In everyday life there are the moments that matter most: A look that is understood. A hand that provides reassurance. A voice that calms, explains and is there - again and again.
We are looking for a nurse / specialist nurse, social worker / specialist nurse in permanent day and evening shifts, who carries the care with them through the rhythm of the day and the calm of the evening. Someone who knows that professionalism and consideration always go hand in hand. And who meets people as they are - with dignity, time and warmth.
With us, day and evening are both professional and caring. You use your expertise where the moments happen - in encounters with patients, relatives and colleagues.
Here, quality and safety are not slogans, but practice. Assessments. Documentation that tells the story correctly. And a look that captures needs - both in busy hours and quiet moments.
At Prestrudsenteret you'll meet an environment that takes person-centered care seriously - and a team that supports each other. Ward 1 is a somatic long-term ward with 28 beds, and a nursing home doctor in a 100% position that is shared between two long-term wards. Here, the working environment is inclusive, colleagues are proud and professionally solid - and our patients are always people first.
In Health and Coping in Hamar municipality, we work for mastery and security in practice. Our staff are our most important resource. The little extra? It happens in everyday life - between conversations, observations and safe routines.
Salary and opportunities
A separate salary ladder for nurses with NOK 35,000, - above the guaranteed salary according to the main collective agreement.
If you move to Hamar for the position, you can apply for a start-up loan and get up to 100% financing of home purchases - without equity. (See We offer for more info.)
Is this your next chapter?
If you want to work in a place where the days are filled with closeness, where subjects meet warmth, and where you go home knowing that you have contributed to security and dignity - then we want to hear from you.
As the day gets underway and the evening approaches, it is you who contribute to safety and structure. You provide health care that complies with both legislation and your professional compass - and you document what happens, so that continuity is maintained and the quality of the service stands firm throughout the day.
You work closely with colleagues in the department and other professionals, and are an active contributor to the health assessments made during the shift. You handle medication with a steady hand and in line with clear routines - you ensure that everything is done correctly, during both busy days and quieter evening hours.
You collaborate with colleagues, other healthcare professionals and relatives when needed, and you are a safe and present professional for the patients - whether it's about support in everyday life, relief, or creating peace when the evening falls.
The days may be varied and the evenings quieter, but the work you do is always important.
In short, you have the competence, presence and language that provide security in everyday life - and the professionalism our team needs, both when the day is busy and when the evening slows down.
You see solutions where others stop, and contribute positively to both the professional and working environment. You collaborate well, but work just as confidently independently, with flexibility and a sense of responsibility as natural tools.
You communicate clearly, build good relationships and are a professional driving force that colleagues and students can rely on. Structure, systematics and commitment describe you well - and you meet everyday life with positivity and professional presence.
You contribute to a good psychosocial working environment - because you know that good care starts with a good culture. You show up with motivation, professional commitment and a health - both physical and mental - that enables you to be present when it counts.
At the end of the day, personal suitability is crucial - and we're looking for exactly the kind of person who makes both patients and colleagues feel a little safer when you're at work.
With us, you get a salary according to central and local agreements, and you'll be part of a large and diverse professional environment where the tasks vary and the days are rarely the same. You'll have pleasant, skilled colleagues who actually make it fun to come to work - and professional and staff meetings built into your schedule, so you're always connected.
We provide good training and guidance, so you get a safe start and a professional boost along the way.
And for those who want to put down roots in Hamar: the municipality offers start-up loans to nurses and social care nurses in at least 50% permanent positions - or to those who accept such a position.
