The unit for physiotherapists and occupational therapists has a vacancy for an occupational therapist/special occupational therapist.
The health and care service in Hamar municipality is changing in line with new tasks and to meet changes in the population's needs, medical developments and new work tools. The service aims to facilitate increased coping for the user and good quality services for those who need it. It is important for the individual and for society to make use of the resources, abilities and opportunities that citizens themselves have to cope with everyday life. The services have the following focus areas: Volunteers and relatives as a resource, early intervention with adapted help, services where people live, coping and participation, services that work together.
The occupational therapist will provide services to adults and the elderly. The subject area represented by the unit is an important contributor to the work of shifting the professional focus of the services to early intervention and increased self-management.
Occupational therapists contribute to interdisciplinary teams in various arenas, and have individual user cases. They contribute with mapping and follow-up of adults and the elderly who have, or are at risk of having, limitations in their physical, mental, cognitive or social functioning.
The position is responsible for individual cases, including hearing and general user cases from the waiting list. There may be changes in work tasks.

Work tasks
- Map and facilitate coping, activity and participation in the home and close surroundings of homebound adults and the elderly.
- Work individually and collaborate interdisciplinary when needed.
- Plan, implement, document and evaluate targeted occupational therapy measures based on the user's needs and values, and in close collaboration with the user, relatives, colleagues and other partners.
- Testing, dissemination and adaptation of technical aids and welfare technology solutions.
- Contribute to work with individual plans and act as a coordinator when needed.
- User cases from the waiting list.
- Hearing contact in the municipality.
Qualifications
- Norwegian authorization as an occupational therapist
- Experience from the municipal health service is desirable.
- Have professional commitment and motivation to contribute to occupational therapy professional development in the service.
- Have the ability and willingness to work independently and interdisciplinary
- Have good communication and guidance skills
- Competence and experience from interdisciplinary collaboration, patient and family work
- Good Norwegian skills, both written and oral
- Driver's license class B.
- Before joining, a police certificate j-f- Health and Care Services Act § 5-4 second paragraph must be presented.
