Ridabu School is a primary school with around 300 pupils and 40 employees. We work every day to ensure that our pupils experience learning, mastery and well-being in an inclusive environment. Now we need to strengthen the team with a skilled worker / assistant in 88% position from 01.08.2026.
Work tasks
- Work closely around individual students with large, individual and complex needs in both school and sfo time
- Support individual students in learning situations and in social interaction
- Follow up educational programs in class, small groups and one to one
- Be able to carry out simple body care and follow and help students in connection with toilet visits
- Collaborate closely with other employees
- Participate in various types of collaboration meetings, including with other professional bodies
Qualifications
- Child and youth worker or relevant experience from school, kindergarten or work in a respite home
- You must be able to run, cycle and swim
- Personal suitability will be emphasized
- A valid police certificate must be presented upon appointment
It is not a requirement, but it may be an advantage if you:
- have knowledge of and experience with the use of AAC (alternative supplementary communication)
- have experience of working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders
- have experience of TEACCH methodology
- have expertise in and experience of working with children who struggle with self-regulation and who can become physical in the face of the environment.

- Masters the balancing act between being a clear adult who sets limits and at the same time radiates warmth, kindness and goodness in the meeting with all children, regardless of disability and functional level
- Is persevering and robust in the meeting with children who challenge, for example, verbally, physically or who have a slow academic/social progression
- Is flexible and solution-oriented
- Tolerates rapid shifts and changes during a working day
- Has good collaboration skills and experience of working in teams
