The Klukstuen Day Activity Center is a day activity program designed for people with dementia. The purpose of the program is to give people the opportunity to socialize and engage in activities they enjoy. Day activity programs are intended, first and foremost, to help participants lead meaningful lives. Each individual should be able to engage in activities they enjoy and find meaningful. Through participation, the person becomes part of a social community. In addition, the program can provide relief for family members. The day activity center is located in its own facilities behind the Klukstuen Care Center.

Prestrud Day Center is a standard day center located at the Prestrud Center.

We are looking for someone who is professionally committed and motivated to facilitate high-quality day activity programs for our residents! Job Responsibilities

  • Goal-oriented management with responsibility for personnel, finances, and professional matters
  • Professional development and quality assurance of services
  • Teaching and counseling at the Day Activity Center and Prestrud Day Center, as well as for other healthcare personnel involved in dementia care for individuals living at home
  • Fostering a positive work environment with empowered employees
  • Staying up to date and familiar with current laws, regulations, and rules applicable to the organization
  • Collaborating with other units
  • Fostering a positive, social environment

Qualifications

  • Relevant 3-year healthcare education
  • Education and/or experience in management and dementia care
  • Experience with mentoring and teaching is desirable
  • Experience and/or knowledge of day center operations is desirable
  • Strong ICT skills

  • Interest in helping to develop the workplace and dementia care in the municipality
