Finsal ward C is a nursing home ward with adapted places for people with cognitive impairment and dementia who need full-time care and nursing. The ward currently consists of 22 long-term places and two short-term/assessment places.
We emphasize person-centered care and quality of services. Person-centered care is a care philosophy that involves taking into account how a person experiences their situation and the world around them. Hamar municipality has its own salary ladder for nurses, social nurses and 3-year with requirements for further specialization that gives NOK. 35,000 above the guaranteed salary under the main collective agreement.
Tasks
- Comprehensive nursing follow-up of patients
- Mapping, observation and assessment of patients
- Provide person-centered care adapted to the individual's needs and resources
- Manage different types of behavior in a safe and responsible manner
- Medication management and follow-up in line with current routines and legislation
- Contribute to interdisciplinary cooperation
- Contact, cooperation and contribute to good relationships with relatives

- Back-up duties for other departments when needed
Qualifications
- Norwegian authorization as a nurse/specialist nurse
- Good Norwegian skills, both written and oral
- Desirable with experience from working with people with dementia
- Desirable with further education in geriatrics, dementia care or elderly care + mental health
- Mastery of ICT tools
- Passed Norwegian test B2

Hamar municipality has a need for nurses and offers those who want to work and live in the municipality the opportunity to apply for a start-up loan for housing. To apply, you must have at least 50% permanent employment as a nurse or social worker, or have been offered a position and must accept it.
The start-up loan can only be used to buy a home in Hamar municipality. You do not need equity to get a start loan, and you can borrow 100% of the purchase price. The condition is that you must be able to service the loan and not be able to get a loan from a regular bank.
