We are looking for night nurses
Hamar, Norge
Type of Employment Part-time
Job position Nurse - night
Work model On location
Application due date 7 June 2026
Are you the one?

With us, the night is both professional and caring. You use your expertise where it is needed most, in small rooms with great importance. Here, quality and safety are not slogans,

but presence. Assessments. Documentation that tells the story correctly. And a gaze that captures nuances in subdued light.

At the Prestrud Center, you'll meet an environment that takes person-centered care seriously - and a team that supports each other. Ward 1 is a somatic long-term ward with 28 beds, and a nursing home doctor in a 100% position that is shared between two long-term wards. Here, the working environment is inclusive, colleagues are proud and professionally solid - and our patients are always people first.

In Health and coping in Hamar municipality, we work for mastery and security in practice. Our staff are our most important resource. That little bit extra? It happens in everyday life,
between conversations, checks and warm routines.

Salary and opportunities
A separate salary ladder for nurses with NOK 35,000, - above the guaranteed salary according to the main tariff agreement.

If you move to Hamar for the position, you can apply for a start-up loan and get up to 100% financing of home purchases - without equity. (See We offer for more info.)

Is this your next chapter?
If you want to work in a place where the night is meaningful, where subjects meet warmth, and where you go home when the day dawns
with the knowledge that you made a difference - then we want to hear from you.

Become part of our night team - Send us your application today.

.

As part of the night team, you will, among other things:

You are the one who ensures that the night is safe. You provide health care that follows both the law and your professional compass - and document what happens.

You work closely with the rest of the night team and other professionals, and you are the one who makes the health assessments when something arises. You follow medication management with a steady hand and according to clear routines

You collaborate with colleagues, healthcare professionals and relatives when needed, and you are the calm presence that allows patients to sleep safely through the night.

Qualifications - these are the strengths you bring into the night

  • You have Norwegian authorization as a nurse
  • Experience in geriatrics and/or psychiatry is a great advantage.
  • You handle ICT tools without drama
  • You have a good command of Norwegian, both written and spoken
  • You have a valid work and residence permit and have passed the Norwegian test B2

In short: you have the competence, calm and language to be the security in the dark - and the professional our team needs.

Personal qualities - this is you at your best

You see solutions where others stop, and contribute positively to both the professional and working environment. You collaborate well, but work just as confidently independently, with flexibility and a sense of responsibility as natural tools.

You communicate clearly, build good relationships and are a professional driving force that colleagues and students can rely on. Structure, systematics and commitment describe you well - and you meet everyday life with positivity and professional presence.

You contribute to a good psychosocial working environment - because you know that good care starts with a good culture. You show up with motivation, professional commitment and a health - both physical and mental - that enables you to be present when it counts.

At the end of the day, personal suitability is crucial - and we're looking for exactly the kind of person who makes both patients and colleagues feel a little safer when you're at work.

We offer

With us, you get a salary according to central and local agreements, and you will be part of a large and diverse professional environment where the tasks vary and the days are rarely the same. You'll have pleasant, skilled colleagues who actually make it fun to come to work - and professional and staff meetings built into your schedule, so you're always connected.

We provide good training and guidance, so you get a safe start and a professional boost along the way.

And for those who want to put down roots in Hamar: the municipality offers start-up loans to nurses and social care nurses in at least 50% permanent positions - or to those who accept such a position.
