Hamar Municipality is seeking dedicated child and youth workers who want to contribute to an inclusive and professionally strong preschool environment. As a childcare professional, you are an important part of the daycare center’s daily routine, and you actively contribute to play, care, activities, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

We currently have permanent positions available at the following preschools

Kronborg Daycare Center: 90% position available starting August 1, 2026

Klukhagan Daycare Center: 90% position available starting August 1, 2026

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in play, care, and activities throughout the day
  • Help create an inclusive and safe play and learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with the educational leader and other staff on educational work.
  • Be a safe and attentive adult for the children
  • Contribute to good routines and structure in daily life
  • Participate in the preschool’s development efforts and professional community
  • Maintain good cooperation with parents
  • Contribute to effective organization within the department and a positive work environment

Qualifications

  • Certificate as a child and youth worker
  • Good Norwegian language skills, both spoken and written (minimum level B)
  • Experience working with children is a plus
