The position involves a rotating shift schedule with day/evening shifts and every third weekend.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to professional development through peer mentoring and close collaboration within the staff team
• Coordinate and collaborate across disciplines with internal and external stakeholders in a varied and busy work environment
• Initiate and follow up on systematic professional and quality development efforts
• Carry out targeted environmental work with a focus on coping and quality of life
• Serve as the primary point of contact
• Have overall professional guidance responsibility for residents, colleagues, and family members
• Ensure proper documentation in the Gerica professional system
• Assume responsibility for medication management

Qualifications

• Norwegian license as a social care worker
• Experience working with family members and collaborating with the user’s support network
• Experience working with the relevant target group, including targeted environmental interventions
• Thorough and in-depth knowledge of services for people with disabilities
• Experience with, and/or a good understanding of, municipal health services
• Knowledge of and experience working in accordance with Chapter 9 of the Health and Care Services Act
• Knowledge of and experience with follow-up care for people with epilepsy is desirable
• Knowledge of and experience with mental health work is desirable.
• Knowledge of and experience with medication management
• Strong ICT skills, preferably with experience using the Gerica and EQS systems
• Valid work and residence permits in Norway
• Class B driver’s license

• Hamar Municipality is in need of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, and offers those who wish to work and live in the municipality the opportunity to apply for a starter loan for housing. To apply, you must hold at least a 50% permanent position as a nurse or social care worker, or have received a job offer that you intend to accept.
  The starter loan can only be used to purchase a home in Hamar Municipality. You do not need any down payment to qualify for the starter loan, and you can borrow 100% of the purchase price. The condition is that you must be able to repay the loan and are unable to obtain a loan from a regular bank.
