The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences has a vacancy for a 50% permanent position as associate professor/senior lecturer/university lecturer in nursing from August 1, 2025. The position is linked to the Section for Nursing with study location in Tynset.
The Section for Nursing is one of three sections at the Department of Health and Nursing Science. The section has around 850 students and 30 employees, and is known for its practice-oriented approach, strong academic and research environment, varied teaching methods and central location in relation to health institutions and health enterprises.

In this position you will supervise students, have some teaching in theory topics, hold skills training and have follow-up in practical studies. We want you to contribute to improving the study programs both academically and pedagogically. You can also join one of the department's research groups, such as "Health and care in a life course perspective". This group works to develop innovative health and care services of good quality and in line with the preferences of patients, relatives and healthcare professionals. The research group's work is therefore aimed in particular at developing knowledge that can strengthen nursing competence within the municipal health service and specialist health service, as well as helping to further develop nursing education.
Other tasks can be added to the position as needed.

Documented practical pedagogical education and experience from teaching and supervision at university and college level, cf. Regulations to the Universities and Colleges Act. Applicants who are unable to document pedagogical competence at the time of appointment are obliged to complete the university college's course in higher education pedagogy or equivalent within two years of appointment.
Personal qualities: We emphasize personal suitability, such as the ability to communicate well with students, internship sites and colleagues. You must be independent, cooperative and flexible. The academic environment's way of working requires good cooperation between colleagues and different academic environments across locations.
