
The Department of Social Science and Guidance, Lillehammer campus, has a vacancy for a permanent 100% position as professor/dosent/first associate professor/first lecturer within the Bachelor's degree in social care. The nursing education is a knowledge-based and practice-oriented health and social professional education that qualifies for the practice of health, care and welfare services in a lifelong perspective. INN has one full-time and two part-time programs in social care, one of which is conducted in Kongsvinger.
The aim of the nursing program at INN is to educate "tomorrow's nurses" with a competence profile that is in line with the needs of the practice field. We are a very practice-oriented education where students and staff involve users, services and the field in an active collaboration. We emphasize educating professionally reflected, relationship and action competent social workers. The social work nursing program educates people with knowledge and expertise in the breadth of social work or health and social work areas.
The Department of Social Science and Guidance offers three bachelor's programs: BA in Child Welfare, BA in Social Work and BA in Social Care, and two master's programs: Master in Interdisciplinary Work with Children, Youth and Families and Master in Career Guidance. In addition, a number of individual courses, year-long studies and continuing education programs are offered in social sciences and guidance.
Research at the department focuses on social science topics related to children and young people, organization and management of welfare services, disability, welfare innovation, user participation, career guidance, relationships and communication in the meeting between professionals and users. The department has 70 employees.

Documented practical pedagogical education and experience from teaching and supervision at university and university college level, cf. Regulations to the Universities and University Colleges Act. . Applicants who are unable to document pedagogical competence at the time of appointment are obliged to complete the university's course in pedagogy or equivalent within two years of appointment.

The assessment of which candidate is best qualified is based on an overall assessment of education, experience and personal suitability and other qualification requirements as formulated in the advertisement, in addition to motivation for the position.
When applicable: If there is no applicant who satisfies the competence requirements for permanent employment, a temporary appointment may be made for up to one year in a lower position, cf. Law on Universities and University Colleges § 7-3.
The position and duties must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations for government employees, including the Act on Control of Exports of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology, etc. Candidates who, after assessment of the application and attachments, come into conflict with the criteria in the latter Act, may not take up the position.
