Would you like to help train tomorrow’s social care workers? We currently have two full-time (100%) positions available in our Department of Social Care at the Lillehammer campus. We are looking for two enthusiastic university lecturers who can contribute to our bachelor’s program in social care, which is a knowledge-based and practice-oriented professional education program in health and social sciences.
The Social Care program at Inland Norway University (INN) aims to educate “tomorrow’s social care professionals” with a competency profile that aligns with the needs of the field. We offer a highly practice-oriented program in which students and faculty engage service users, service providers, and the professional field in active collaboration. We emphasize training socially reflective social care workers who are skilled in building relationships and taking action, and we equip students with knowledge and expertise across the full spectrum of social care, health, and social work fields.
The Division of Social Care is one of three divisions within the Department of Social Sciences and Counseling. The department offers three bachelor’s programs in child welfare, social work, and social care, as well as two master’s programs in interdisciplinary work with children, youth, and families and a master’s program in career counseling. In addition, a range of individual courses, one-year programs, and continuing education and professional development programs are offered in the fields of social work and counseling.
The Section for Social Care has three student cohorts—one full-time and two part-time—at the Lillehammer and Kongsvinger campuses. The programs are characterized by practice-oriented teaching, skills training, and close collaboration with the professional field. As a university lecturer, you will plan and conduct student-centered teaching activities, including seminars and skills training, as well as supervise and follow up with students during their field placements. You will help further develop strong collaborative relationships and networks with the professional field, students, and external stakeholders, and you will actively participate in projects that strengthen academic development efforts relevant to the program. You should expect some travel. The positions also entail academic and administrative responsibilities for courses.
