Description

The Community Development Department, Section for Strategic Planning and Coordination has a vacant permanent position as advisor/senior advisor from November 1, 2026.

About the unit

The position is located in the Community Development Department, Section for Strategic Planning and Coordination. The section has 10 employees and works in close collaboration with regional actors, municipalities and other actors on plans, processes, such as regional planning strategy and regional plans.

The section works development-oriented and is responsible for several projects that contribute to local community development in several subject areas: Community planning, public health, mountain policy, place development, housing development in rural areas as well as general process guidance and coordination of the county's planning work in major planning cases.

About the position

  • 100% permanent position f.o.m 01.11.2026
  • The main place of work is Hamar, but we can offer various forms of flexibility for those with the right skills
  • Those appointed to the positions will be placed in a position code depending on education and experience, cf. statutory and contractual competence

Tasks

  • contribute to the development and follow-up of county plans and strategies internally and externally
  • lead or contribute to county development projects
  • contribute to guidance and competence building in the municipalities within various themes/areas of focus
  • guide municipalities in their planning work with a focus on municipal planning strategies and the municipal plan's community section
  • establish and run processes and networks in the county and the county administration

Qualification requirements

  • social science educational background at preferably master's level. Long-term practice within the field can compensate for the educational requirement
  • relevant experience: Experience from planning, process and development work
  • good communication and collaboration skills
