Do you want to take part in our work with water and fish management? The Section for Climate, Environment and Biodiversity has a vacancy for a water management advisor until 31.12.2027.

About the unit

The Section for Climate, Environment and Biodiversity is a section with a wide range of tasks. The main areas are overall climate work, wildlife management, nature management, water management, management of inland fish, aquaculture, renewable energy and follow-up of relevant regional plans. The section provides advice and guidance internally and externally, as well as some project work. A significant part of the assignment is also to conduct case management of statutory tasks and to respond to municipal, regional and national plans, regulations and other matters that are subject to consultation.

About the position

  • Some travel must be expected
  • The person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience, cf. legislation and agreements. The position is a temporary position and the work tasks will mostly consist of processing cases that affect the water and fisheries management area, in addition to the county council's work related to regional water management plans. A large part of the position will involve processing applications for physical measures in watercourses. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in internal and external projects and development work, interdisciplinary task solving, inspections for current cases and relevant seminars and courses for competence development.

    Qualification requirements

    • Higher education at college/university

    Desired qualifications

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in natural sciences
    • Knowledge of the Salmon and Inland Fisheries Act, water regulations and work with regional plans for water management
    • planning expertise is an advantage
    • good written and oral presentation skills
    • well-qualified applicants without the aforementioned formal qualifications will also be considered
