The County Archives has large and small arrangement assignments of municipal and county archives, both analog and digital. We are looking for a person who can lead these projects, manage the agreements, as well as taking on the role of system manager of the archive system ASTA. There may also be some work with private archives.

About the section

Inland County Archives manages older and closed archives, coordinates private archives and provides archival guidance to municipalities, companies and organizations. We work to ensure that the region's social memory is documented, preserved and available for posterity.

The county archive was established in 1995 and is now the country's largest county archive. Since 2008, we have hosted the municipal task community IKA Opplandene, which handles analog and digital archives from 50 participating municipalities in Innlandet and Akershus. The county archive's more than 30 employees make up a competence environment for archives in technical, archival and historical parts of the field, and we contribute to archive development and strategy work in the sector. In addition to the management of historical information, we assist the participating municipalities with skills development and ensure good documentation management, for example through archive architecture, archive planning and preservation plans. The county archive has a large contact surface both inside and outside the organization and participates in many regional and national collaborations in addition to accessibility and dissemination directly to citizens.

In addition to responsibility for municipal and county archives, we have a coordinating role for private archive work in Inland Norway.

Tasks

  • Operative responsibility for entering into and following up various assignment agreements
  • Project manager for various projects in arrangement and conversion
  • System management of the archive system ASTA
  • Development of the field: How technology and innovation can be utilized and support the work, including increased focus on data, metadata and data quality
  • Conduct preservation assessments
  • Develop archival descriptions and templates for this
  • Develop methodology and routines
  • Case processing

Participation in the section's other activities and incidental work

Qualification requirements

  • Experience with project management, preferably using the project wizard and agile methodology
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and agreements, as well as the state's standard agreements
  • Experience from arrangement work, preferably in public archives
  • Knowledge of digitally created archives
  • Education at master's level in a relevant field such as archives, administrative informatics, cultural history, history, history, social sciences or law
  • Good digital skills
  • Driver's license class B

Bachelor's degree combined with solid practice can in some cases compensate for educational requirements

Desired qualifications

  • Good knowledge of municipal and county council archives, tasks and administrative history
  • Solid experience with the archive system ASTA.
  • Experience from working in an archival institution
  • Experience with public case management
  • Knowledge of RIC (RecordsInContext) and possibly other standards
  • Good written and oral presentation skills

About the position

  • 100% permanent position as senior advisor/advisor
  • The section has a workplace Fakkelgården in Lillehammer, but we can offer various forms of flexibility for those with the right skills
