The Follow-up Service is seeking an OT counselor for a 60% position to work with young people not in education or employment in Nordre and Søndre Land, starting September 1, 2026.
About the Follow-up Service
The Follow-up Service (OT) is a county-level service tasked with identifying, coordinating, and following up on young people between the ages of 15 and 24 who are entitled to upper secondary education but are neither in school nor employed. The Follow-up Service is responsible for maintaining an overview of all young people in the target group and getting as many as possible involved in skills-building activities.
The Follow-up Service unit is part of the Department of Skills and Dental Health and is assigned to the Section for Regional Skills Development.
The office will be located at Raufoss High School, primarily in the Dokka campus.

- has excellent communication skills and proficiency in Norwegian
- is able to work independently, in a structured and goal-oriented manner
- are solution-oriented and have strong collaboration skills
- have knowledge of high school education or alternative educational settings for young people
- have strong computer skills

About the position:
- 60% permanent position as an OT counselor, available starting September 1, 2026
- The OT counselor will be responsible for providing follow-up support to young people residing in the Land region
- Some travel is to be expected
- Work location: Raufoss High School, primarily the Dokka campus
Job responsibilities:
- Help ensure that young people who are neither in school nor employed are offered training, work, and skills-building opportunities
- Engage in preventive work during the transition from elementary school to high school
- collaborate with schools, NAV, career centers, PPT, municipal agencies, the healthcare system, training offices, the local business community, and other partners
- provide guidance and follow up with young people
- use the county council’s procedures and tools for collaboration and recording case information
- contribute to the Follow-up Service’s development work
- contribute across regions as needed within the service
Desired qualifications:
- a degree at the bachelor’s level or higher, preferably in social sciences
- experience working with young people, for example in schools, NAV, or child welfare services
- guidance skills
- strong digital skills
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- Class B driver’s license required
