Gjøvik Upper Secondary School has a vacancy for a 100% permanent position as a social worker/educator from August 1, 2026.

About the position

  • 100% permanent position from 01.08.2026

Tasks

  • Plan and carry out teaching for individual students, groups and classes in the department for special education
  • cooperation with and follow-up of guardians
  • cooperation with other actors in the health and upbringing sector
  • participate and contribute to development work in the department and other professional learning communities at the school
  • prepare IOP and annual reports

Qualification requirements

  • Nurse education or other relevant (min. three years) health and social education

Desired qualifications

  • further education or specialization in adapted education/individualized adapted education/pedagogy/special education is an advantage
  • experience with interdisciplinary work with pupils
  • experience with AAC (alternative supplementary communication)

  • you have good relational and and collaboration skills, and are good at motivating and inspiring
  • ability to see the individual pupil, and think holistically about children and young people's upbringing
