Description

Hadeland upper secondary school has a need for a subject teacher in building and construction technology where we have 2 vg1 classes and 1 vg2 class in the carpentry profession.

The subject areas form the basis for many exciting options for students so that they can meet the skills needs of the future. Our task is to make students as well-equipped as possible to meet working life and any further studies for those who may choose it

We are looking for a teacher who has both an interest in the subject area of civil engineering and at the same time has an interest, competence and commitment to facilitating students who need extra support. You must thrive on working closely with students, contributing to mastery and creating a safe environment for learning

About the position

  • 100 % permanent position as subject teacher in building and construction technology
  • workplace Gran centrum
  • the person appointed to the position will be placed in a position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience cf. law and agreements

Tasks

  • plan, prepare and implement good teaching in program subjects and vocational specialization
  • systematic student follow-up, academically and socially
  • follow up students in need of individually tailored education (ITO) and prepare individual education plans (IOP)
  • collaborate with parents
  • collaborate closely, academically and pedagogically, with colleagues in common subjects and program subjects
  • close contact and collaboration with the industry
  • contact teacher responsibility may be added to the position
  • other tasks for the school community

Qualification requirements

  • professional certificate or equivalent in Building and Construction Engineering
  • relevant education in Building and Construction Engineering.
    Applicants without full pedagogical competence can be appointed on the condition of education with a requirement to complete PPU within a specified period of time.
  • teaching experience from upper secondary education is an advantage.
  • relevant experience from working life
  • personal suitability will be emphasized
