Description

Hadeland Upper Secondary School has a need for a teacher in health and growth subjects

Are you keen to build good relationships and help students succeed?
We are looking for a teacher in health and growth subjects in a 20% position, preferably with a background in child and youth work
In addition, we are looking for a teacher in the program subjects in health and growth subjects in up to 30% temporary position in the school year 2026/2027
The positions can either be combined and filled by one person, or shared between two, depending on the applicants' wishes, expertise and the school's needs. It should be stated in the application whether the applicant wants one of the positions or a combined position

About the position

  • 20% permanent position as subject teacher in the program subject children's and youth worker subject
  • up to 30% substitute position for the school year 2026/2027 as a subject teacher in the program subject health and upbringing
  • workplace in Gran center
  • the person appointed to the position will be placed in the position code depending on the requirements for the position, education and experience cf. legal and contractual requirements

Tasks

  • plan, prepare and carry out teaching in program subjects
  • follow up students academically and socially
  • assessment and grading
  • collaborate closely academically and pedagogically with colleagues in common subjects and program subjects
  • close contact and collaboration with the industry

Qualification requirements

  • professional certificate in health and childcare, preferably with a background in child and youth work
  • Vocational teacher/PPU
    Applicants without full pedagogical competence can be appointed on the condition of education with a requirement to complete PPU within a specific agreed period
  • good pedagogical understanding
  • ability to use digital tools as a natural part of the work
  • good communication skills, written and oral
  • is a clear class leader who builds good relationships with young people
  • has positive expectations of the students and appears as a good role model
  • has good collaboration skills and is flexible in the face of various challenges
  • personal suitability will be emphasized

Wanted qualifications

  • it is desirable that the applicant has varied and relevant work experience
